Company history
Portland Pallet was started 24 years ago by Jerry & Sue McCoin, first as a sawmill and later evolving into a pallet manufacturing operation.
In 2007 Jerry & Sue retired to Florida and Portland Pallet was Purchased by Charles & Lynne Fox.   
Since acquiring Portland Pallet the Foxes have invested heavily in new equipment and streamlined manufacturing methods.  The crating operation launched in August 2008.
 
Facilities
Portland Pallet & Crate maintains a manufacturing facility for pallets in Portland, Tennessee and an adjacent facility for producing crates.  In addition, we maintain a wood fiber processing and recycling center.
Portland Pallet & Crate is an ISPM certified heat treatment facility.
 
 
Design Services
Portland Pallet & Crate is not simply a manufacturer of pallets and crates.  We are experts.  We license the Pallet Design System, allowing us to efficiently design your pallet and also to know the load capacity and reuse performance of any particular design.  Want the least expensive design to carry your load?  Pallet Design System gives us the answer.  Want a pallet that can survive multiple cycles of reuse in your facility?  Pallet Design System gives us the exact specification.
In addition, we licence Crate Pro software which allows accurate design construction of ASTM and Mil Spec crates and containers.
